Despite conceding runs at a higher economy rate, Yaqoob’s crucial three-wicket over tilted the game in Peshawar’s favor during the death overs. Yaqoob revealed that he refrained from experimenting with variations due to the prevailing conditions, focusing instead on delivering dot balls. By the end of his spell, Yaqoob’s figures stood at 4-0-43-3.
Making his PSL debut in this match, Arif Yaqoob reflected on the experience of playing in front of a large crowd, expressing how the initial pressure gradually gave way to enjoyment as the game progressed. As one of the limited spin-bowling options for Peshawar Zalmi, Yaqoob was included in the lineup for the third match after being sidelined in the initial fixtures.
