Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued a show-cause notice to party leader Sher Afzal Marwat following his claims against former chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan.

The notice requests Marwat to submit an apology letter within two days, warning of potential action in line with party policy if an unsatisfactory response is received.

The PTI stated that Marwat’s statement has caused tension and emphasized the seriousness of the situation.

Marwat’s comments came after Barrister Gohar Khan announced Barrister Ali Zafar as the PTI’s next chairman nominee, ahead of the party’s internal elections scheduled for March 3.

Marwat claimed that Gohar Khan was removed from his chairman position due to unsatisfactory performance, citing incompetence and poor leadership. He expressed that while Gohar is respected, his performance did not meet expectations, particularly in addressing the concerns of party workers.

Marwat criticized the party leadership’s handling of the situation post-election, highlighting Gohar’s failure to effectively lead the party.
