The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has anticipated scattered rainfall in the nation’s capital, Islamabad, and various regions across the country in the upcoming week.

As per the meteorological forecast, Monday is expected to remain dry, but the capital will experience rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday.

As of today, the temperature in Islamabad reached 25°C at noon, with expectations of a decrease in temperature as the evening approaches. Humidity levels were recorded at approximately 45 percent, accompanied by gentle winds at 7km/h. The maximum UV Index, recorded at 3, indicates moderate UV exposure, and visibility was around 3-4km.

In terms of air quality, Islamabad recorded an air quality index of 69, categorizing it as “poor.” The city’s air has reached a concerning level of pollution and is deemed unhealthy, particularly for individuals with sensitivities. Those experiencing symptoms such as breathing difficulties or throat irritation are advised to limit their time spent outdoors.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department also reported that a westerly wave is impacting western regions of the country. While most areas of the country are expected to have dry weather, northwestern Balochistan may experience cloudy conditions with rain, wind, and thunderstorms.

Furthermore, there is a likelihood of fog and smog in several areas during the morning hours, including Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore, Okara, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Joharabad, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khanewal, Multan, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, and their vicinity.
