Sheikh Rasheed Hospitalized for a possible Heart Attack

ISLAMABAD – On Monday, Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed was admitted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) after experiencing a deterioration in his health, as reported by ARY News.

Complaints of chest pain prompted the former interior minister’s immediate transfer to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC), where a team of medical professionals in the emergency department swiftly attended to him. Medical assessments, including an electrocardiogram (ECG), were conducted to evaluate his condition.

As a precautionary measure, the AML chief is currently being kept under observation at the hospital.

This development comes after Sheikh Rasheed recently re-emerged following a month-long absence, during which he denounced the May 9 riots and made critical comments about PTI chief Imran Khan, referring to him as ‘stubborn.’

In an interview with a private news channel, the former interior minister disclosed that he had been in a state of ‘Chilla’ (an apparent reference to spending time underground) for the past 40 days. He mentioned that no harm came to him during this period.

Sheikh Rasheed, an ally of PTI chief Imran Khan, also emphasized his unwavering support for the Pakistan Army. He revealed that he had advised the PTI chief to maintain a positive relationship with the army, proudly asserting himself as the spokesperson for the Pakistan Army.
