Aamir Jamal Fined After Heated Moment in Karachi Kings Narrow Win

Karachi Kings all-rounder Aamir Jamal was fined 5% of his match fee for breaching the PSL Code of Conduct during his team’s tense two-wicket victory over Peshawar Zalmi. The incident occurred in the 15th over when Jamal made an inappropriate comment after dismissing Hussain Talat, triggering a Level 1 offence under Article 2.5.

Match officials Faisal Khan Afridi and Paul Reiffel reported the offense, and Jamal accepted the penalty issued by match referee Iftikhar Ahmed. This marks another disciplinary hiccup for Jamal, who was also fined last year during the England Test series for wearing a cap bearing a political message.

Despite the incident, Karachi Kings managed to chase down a tricky 148-run target with just three balls to spare. Shan Warner led the way with a calm 60 off 47 balls, while Khushdil Shah’s unbeaten 23 proved vital in the final over.

The win marked Karachi’s third in the tournament, keeping their playoff hopes alive. They will now face Quetta Gladiators at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on April 25.
