AC Milan have officially completed the signing of Nigerian striker Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen. The deal is structured as a loan with an option to buy. The Italian giants will pay €5 million for the loan and have agreed on a €24–25 million buy clause, making the total package worth nearly €30 million.
After weeks of negotiations, both clubs finalized the agreement. Boniface has also accepted personal terms and is expected to sign a long-term deal until 2030. The striker will soon arrive in Italy to undergo his medical tests and complete the final steps before being officially unveiled.
The move comes as part of AC Milan’s plan to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season. With Olivier Giroud gone and other targets out of reach, the club turned to Boniface, who had an impressive season in Germany. He scored goals, provided assists, and showed physical strength and smart movement — all qualities that Milan need in their forward line.
Boniface was also on the radar of clubs in Saudi Arabia earlier this summer, but a potential move fell through. That opened the door for AC Milan to step in. The 23-year-old is now focused on making an impact in Serie A and helping the team in both domestic and European competitions.
AC Milan believe the young forward can be a key figure in the coming years. His age, talent, and experience in top-level football make him a strong investment. The Rossoneri are confident he will settle in quickly and contribute from the start.
Fans are now eagerly waiting for his official announcement, which is expected shortly after medicals. If all goes as planned, Boniface will wear the red and black shirt this season and lead the line at San Siro.
