Chelsea Secure Julio Enciso in Long-Term Deal via BlueCo Network

Enciso to Chelsea

Chelsea have completed a strategic move to secure young Paraguayan talent Julio Enciso. The 21-year-old midfielder is joining through the club’s ownership group, BlueCo, which also controls Ligue 1 side Strasbourg. Enciso will play the 2025–26 season on loan at Strasbourg before eventually linking up with Chelsea in the future.

The deal is reportedly valued at around €20 million, including performance-based add-ons. Enciso has agreed to a long-term contract that runs until 2031, with the possibility of an extra year. This move is part of Chelsea’s growing focus on using their multi-club model to develop players across different leagues before integrating them into the Premier League setup.

Enciso has already shown promise during his time with Brighton. Although injuries limited his appearances, his skill, creativity, and vision caught the attention of several clubs. Chelsea acted quickly and used their BlueCo network to bring him into their system without immediate Premier League pressure.

At Strasbourg, Enciso is expected to gain regular minutes and valuable experience in a competitive European league. This will help him build fitness and confidence before returning to England. For now, Chelsea are not rushing his development but see him as a key player for the future.

This method of signing young talent and loaning them within the same ownership group is becoming more common. Chelsea are one of the leaders in this strategy, as they aim to build a strong pipeline of future stars. With the right guidance, Enciso could become a standout name at Stamford Bridge in the coming years.
