First Test: Bangladesh Take Lead Over Pakistan to 94 Runs on Day Four

On day four of the First Test at Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi, Bangladesh extended their control over the match, leaving Pakistan at 1 for 23 in their second innings.

Shoriful Islam dismissed Saim Ayub for just 1 run. Abdullah Shafique (12 off 31) and captain Shan Masood (9 off 26) will resume batting on the final day.

Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan Miraz had boosted Bangladesh to a 117-run lead.

Rahim, showing impressive form, scored 191 with 22 fours and a six before being dismissed by Mohammad. Mehidy Hasan Miraz contributed 77 from 179 balls, hitting eight boundaries and a six.

Shadman Islam added 93 runs in his return to Test cricket, providing significant support. Litton Das and Mominul Haq also made valuable contributions with scores of 56 and 50, respectively.

For Pakistan, Naseem Shah was the standout bowler with 3 for 93. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Ali, and Khurram Shahzad each took two wickets, with figures of 2 for 88 and 2 for 90, respectively.
