Jason Gillespie Still Awaits Payment From PCB Amid Legal Tensions

PCB

Months after resigning as Pakistan’s head coach, Jason Gillespie has revealed that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has yet to clear his dues. The Australian cricket legend confirmed the issue remains unresolved, simply calling it “ongoing” during a recent interview.

Gillespie’s departure in December 2024 came amid a turbulent phase for Pakistan cricket, which included the controversial appointment of a dual-coach system. While Gary Kirsten took charge of the white-ball side, Gillespie handled the Test team — a model that soon crumbled.

Frustrated by internal conflicts and structural chaos, Gillespie stepped down just before a crucial Test series against South Africa. He has since accused the PCB of breaching the contract and hinted at pursuing legal action over unpaid dues.

The PCB, on the other hand, claims Gillespie’s exit violated contract terms, which is why the payment remains stalled. The standoff has raised serious questions about PCB’s handling of international hires and its contractual transparency.
