The final defeat in a must-win match against the UAE sealed India’s exit, as they fell short of a 130-run target by just one run, scoring 129 in their chase.

India’s journey began with a loss to arch-rival Pakistan, followed by a 15-run defeat to England. Against Pakistan, India set a 120-run target, but Pakistan chased it comfortably, showcasing an explosive batting display. Pakistan’s Muhammad Akhlaq and Asif Ali led their side with powerful knocks, reaching the target in just five overs without losing a wicket.
India, batting first, posted a competitive 119 runs, with Uthappa and Bharat Chipli leading the charge. Despite strong individual performances, India’s campaign couldn’t gather momentum, ending in disappointment at Mong Kok.
