PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has appointed former captain Waqar Younis to oversee cricket-related matters. Naqvi will manage the PCB’s administrative affairs, including decisions on international and domestic cricket, the selection committee, and players’ No-Objection Certificates (NOCs), with a primary focus on the Champions Trophy.
Sources indicate that Naqvi has elevated Waqar Younis to a prominent role within the PCB, entrusting him with responsibilities related to men’s cricket.

According to the PCB Constitution of 2014, the Chairman has the authority to delegate powers. Younis will handle all aspects of the national team, including the National Selection Committee, and oversee coaches for both white and red ball formats.
