The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Pak vs Ban T20I series. The three-match series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be held from July 20 to 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.
Salman Ali Agha has been named captain for the T20I squad. The selection committee has kept faith in several emerging players while giving opportunities to some experienced names.
The full squad includes: Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Hassan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Moqim.
The team management for the Pak vs Ban series consists of Mike Hesson as head coach, Ashley Noffke (bowling coach), Muhammad Hanif Malik (batting coach), and Shane McDermott (fielding coach). Naveed Akram Cheema will serve as team manager, with Cliffe Deacon handling physiotherapy and Grant Luden overseeing strength and conditioning.
In a separate development, India’s planned six-match white-ball tour of Bangladesh has been postponed to 2026. The series was scheduled to begin on August 17 in Dhaka, featuring three ODIs and three T20Is.
Both the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) agreed to delay the series due to international scheduling issues. Political tensions in Dhaka also played a role in the decision. The BCB stated that it looks forward to hosting India in September 2026, with exact dates to be announced later.
As excitement builds for the Pak vs Ban T20I series, cricket fans eagerly await action between the two competitive sides later this month.
