Yousuf, who stepped down citing personal reasons, expressed pride in his contributions to Pakistan cricket.

A legendary batsman, Yousuf amassed 7,530 Test and 9,720 ODI runs during his career, with his 1,788 Test runs in 2006 still a record for most runs in a calendar year.
