Renovation work has already begun at Karachi’s National Stadium, one of the three venues selected for the tournament.
The other venues include Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium. The PCB has allocated Rs12.80 billion for these upgrades, which are set to be completed before the tournament, scheduled from February 19 to March 9 next year.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has approved a $70 million budget for the tournament, covering expenses for the support period from February 12 to 18, which includes warm-up matches, media activities, and promotional events.
The ICC and PCB will collaborate to finalize the warm-up match schedule, with a maximum of two matches per team planned in the three host cities.
Naqvi expressed confidence in the renovation project, overseen by the UK-based BDP Pattern, known for its high-quality stadium designs.
