The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has introduced three new tournaments for the 2024-25 domestic season to enhance the competitiveness and financial prospects for emerging players. These tournaments are the Champions One-Day Cup, Champions T20 Cup, and Champions First-Class Cup, complementing the existing National T20 Cup, Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, President’s Trophy, President’s Cup, and HBL Pakistan Super League 2025.
The domestic season will run from September 1, 2024, to August 5, 2025, featuring 261 matches across eight senior men’s tournaments, a significant increase from the previous season’s 203 matches. Each of the new tournaments will have five teams competing in a double-league format, involving around 150 top domestic and centrally contracted players.

Former Pakistan cricket stars will mentor the teams, with further details forthcoming. The teams will also have access to dedicated High Performance Centres in various cities for their training needs. The Champions One-Day Cup will kick off the season from September 1-29, while the Champions First-Class Cup will wrap it up from May 28 to August 5. Additionally, there will be 11 development tournaments aimed at providing young players with valuable opportunities to advance their careers.
