Rajasthan Royals (RR) are facing scrutiny following allegations of match-fixing after their unexpected defeat to Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2025. Jaideep Bihani, the convener of the Rajasthan Cricket Association’s (RCA) ad hoc committee, raised concerns about the integrity of RR’s performance, which came under the spotlight after their sudden loss at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Despite dominating much of the game, RR suffered a dramatic collapse, leading to a surprising home defeat that left fans and stakeholders questioning the match’s fairness. This abrupt change in momentum has reignited suspicions of possible match-fixing.

Bihani took issue with how the IPL matches were managed in Jaipur, stating that the ad hoc committee, appointed by the state government, had successfully organized events at various levels. However, when it came to the IPL, the local Sports Council took charge. He criticized the bypassing of the ad hoc committee’s role, pointing out that while IPL-related communications were initially directed to the RCA by the BCCI, the Sports Council and RR had excluded the committee’s involvement.
Bihani also questioned the excuse given regarding the lack of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, arguing that it should not be an issue since the Sports Council still receives payment for each match.
These statements have stirred further controversy in the IPL season, but neither Rajasthan Royals nor the Sports Council have officially responded to Bihani’s claims. The BCCI has also remained silent on the matter.
