Indian captain Rohit Sharma has expressed his ambition to bring the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 title to Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium. Speaking at the venue’s 50th-anniversary celebration, Sharma shared his vision of a victory parade at Wankhede, emphasizing his team’s determination to make 140 crore Indians proud.
“We will give it our all to win the Champions Trophy and celebrate at Wankhede with our fans,” Rohit said during the event, which was graced by cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, and Ravi Shastri.

India has a strong history in the Champions Trophy, sharing the 2002 title with Sri Lanka and clinching the 2013 trophy under MS Dhoni. However, the team will look to overcome the heartbreak of their 2017 final loss to Pakistan.
The Champions Trophy 2025, featuring eight teams and 15 matches, will run from February 19 to March 9. The tournament will take place in Pakistan and the UAE under a hybrid model, with the India-Pakistan clash scheduled for February 23 in Dubai.
