Pakistan’s emerging cricketers Saim Ayub and Agha Salman have made impressive strides in the latest ICC ODI rankings following their standout performances in recent series.
Saim Ayub, named Player of the Series in Pakistan’s 3-0 triumph over South Africa, has surged 57 places to 23rd with 603 points. His two centuries in the series have firmly established him as one of the brightest young talents in international cricket.

Vice-captain Agha Salman also saw a notable rise, climbing 28 spots to 80th with 468 points, underscoring his growing role in the team. Meanwhile, captain Babar Azam maintained his spot as the world’s top-ranked ODI batter, marking his fourth consecutive year at the top despite a dip in form.
Other notable movements include Mohammad Rizwan climbing to 21st in the ODI batter rankings and Naseem Shah making a solid jump to 51st in the ODI bowling rankings. The rankings reflect Pakistan’s evolving cricketing talent as they prepare for upcoming challenges, including the Champions Trophy in February.
