Pakistan’s T20I vice-captain Shadab Khan has backed the young squad ahead of their five-match series against New Zealand. Speaking before the team’s departure, Shadab highlighted the energy and positivity the newcomers bring, expressing hope for a successful campaign.

The squad, featuring debutants Abdul Samad and Hassan Nawaz, left Lahore for Christchurch via Dubai. Meanwhile, New Zealand named a 15-member squad led by Michael Bracewell, with Ish Sodhi and Ben Sears returning from injury.
The T20I series begins on March 16 at Hagley Oval, Christchurch.
