South Africa Women Secure 10-Run Victory Over Pakistan in First T20 Match

The South Africa women’s team triumphed over Pakistan by 10 runs in the first T20 match held at Multan Cricket Stadium.

Chasing a target of 133, Pakistan managed 122/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Pakistan’s top order faltered, losing five wickets for just 47 runs before Aliya Riaz and captain Fatima Sana steadied the innings with a crucial partnership. Despite their efforts, with Riaz remaining unbeaten on 52 and Sana scoring 37 not out, Pakistan fell short of the target.

Earlier, after winning the toss, Fatima Sana chose to field first. South Africa put up 132/4 in their 20 overs, with Tazmin Brits leading the charge with 56 runs. On the bowling front, Sadia Iqbal took 3 wickets for Pakistan, while Nida Dar claimed one.

The remaining two matches of the T20 series will also take place in Multan on September 18 and 20.
