Sumair Ahmad has been Appointed as the Tournament Director for the ICC Champions Trophy

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Sumair Ahmad Syed, the PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, as the Tournament Director for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, which will be held in Pakistan.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi expressed confidence in Sumair’s organizational skills and extensive administrative experience, combined with his passion for cricket. Naqvi believes Sumair will deliver a memorable tournament for players, officials, and fans.

Sumair emphasized the vital role of the PCB’s experienced events team, which has previously managed nine successful editions of the HBL Pakistan Super League, including the last five held in Pakistan. He pledged to work closely with the ICC and his team to ensure the 2025 tournament exceeds expectations.
