Karachi Kings are set to receive a major boost in the ongoing HBL PSL X as New Zealand batting legend Kane Williamson is expected to join the squad on April 23 or 24. The former Kiwi skipper was unavailable for the initial matches due to his commentary duties in the Indian Premier League.
Williamson, who was picked in the PSL 10 draft by the Kings, will miss at least five matches before making his debut this season. In his absence, the team brought in Pakistan U19 captain Saad Baig as a partial replacement.

Despite Williamson’s absence, the Kings kicked off their campaign with an impressive win over Multan Sultans, chasing a massive target of 235. James Vince starred with a 43-ball 101, while Khushdil Shah added a crucial 60 in a 142-run partnership.
The Kings, under new captain David Warner, will face Lahore Qalandars today at the National Bank Cricket Stadium, hoping to continue their winning momentum.
