Lahore Blues Triumph in National T20 Cup with Convincing Win Over Peshawar

Lahore Blues delivered a dominant performance to claim the National T20 Cup title, defeating Peshawar by nine wickets at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad. A stellar four-wicket haul from Salman Mirza laid the foundation for Lahore’s victory, while Umar Siddiq’s unbeaten half-century ensured a comfortable chase with 24 balls to spare.

Peshawar, batting first, struggled to gain momentum and posted a modest 110/9. Waqar Ahmed’s early dismissal and the loss of key wickets, including Sahibzada Farhan, left the team on the back foot. Captain Iftikhar Ahmed (34) and Mohammad Zulkifal (32) added some resistance, but Peshawar couldn’t break free from Lahore’s tight bowling.

In response, Lahore’s openers Imran Butt and Umar Siddiq set up a steady platform, with Siddiq anchoring the chase with a composed 64 not out. Supported by Junaid Ali (30*), Lahore Blues secured the win in 16 overs, sealing their title triumph.

Salman Mirza was named Player of the Match for his game-changing spell, capping off a memorable campaign for Lahore Blues.
