iPhone 18 Pro Series Battery Sizes Officially Revealed

iPhone 18 Pro Series Battery Sizes Officially Revealed

Apple has revealed the official battery capacities for its latest iPhone 18 Pro series through European Union Energy Labels.

The labels provide exact battery figures that Apple usually does not include on its standard technical specification pages. According to the EU labels, the iPhone 18 Pro comes with a 4,056mAh battery in Europe.

Meanwhile, the larger iPhone 18 Pro Max features a significantly bigger 5,391mAh battery.

iPhone 18 Pro Gets a Bigger Battery

Apple has increased battery capacity compared with the previous generation.

The battery inside the iPhone 18 Pro is around 1.45% larger than its predecessor.

However, the Pro Max model receives a considerably bigger upgrade. Its 5,391mAh battery represents an increase of approximately 11.8% compared with the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The larger battery also helps explain the longer battery life offered by the Pro Max model. Its larger physical size provides Apple with more internal space for battery capacity.

EU iPhone Models Have Different Battery Sizes

The newly published capacities specifically apply to iPhone models sold within the European Union.

Apple continues to provide physical SIM card slots on its EU models.

The physical SIM mechanism occupies internal space that could otherwise be used for additional battery capacity.

In some other markets, Apple sells iPhones without a physical SIM tray. These versions can use the additional internal space for larger batteries.

Therefore, battery capacities for non-EU versions may differ from the figures revealed through European labels.

EU Energy Labels Reveal More Details

The EU Energy Labels provide more than battery capacity information.

Both iPhone 18 Pro models received an overall A energy rating under the European system. The devices also received a B rating for resistance to accidental drops.

For repairability, both models were awarded a C rating.

Apple’s flagship phones also carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Batteries Rated for at Least 1,000 Charge Cycles

Apple has also provided information about the expected longevity of the batteries. According to the published information, the batteries are designed to withstand at least 1,000 complete charge cycles.

After that period, their maximum capacity is expected to remain at or above 80%.

Actual battery health can vary depending on charging habits, temperature and everyday usage. The EU labeling system gives consumers additional information when comparing smartphones.

It provides exact battery capacities alongside durability, energy efficiency and repairability ratings.
