In an exciting year for Pakistani cricket, the country will not only host the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025 but will also hold the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Qualifiers. Multiple media reports confirm that the qualifying event will take place across several cities in Pakistan in April, just ahead of the Women’s Cricket World Cup in India later that year.
The tournament will feature women’s teams from six nations: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies. The finalists will earn their spots in the prestigious ICC Women’s World Cup 2026, joining the top six teams from the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-2025.

Pakistan is aiming to secure a place in the Women’s World Cup through this qualifying event. In preparation, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has organized a 27-day training camp at the High-Performance Academy in Faisalabad. The camp, which runs from February 2 to February 28, includes 50-over practice matches and intensive training sessions for 31 invited players.
This will be the first time Pakistan hosts the Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, marking a significant milestone for women’s cricket in the country. Additionally, as compensation for not hosting India during the Champions Trophy, the ICC has awarded Pakistan the rights to host the 2028 Women’s T20 World Cup.
