Pakistan's T20I Squad Arrives in New Zealand for Five-Match Series

Pakistan’s T20I squad, led by captain Agha Salman, landed in New Zealand on Thursday for the highly anticipated five-match series against Michael Bracewell’s Blackcaps. The series, which kicks off on March 16 in Christchurch, will be followed by three ODIs, concluding on April 5.

The Pakistan squad includes debutants Abdul Samad and Hassan Nawaz, who have been called up for the national team for the first time. After their arrival, the team will take a day to rest before resuming training at 1 PM local time on Friday.

New Zealand’s squad, captained by Michael Bracewell, features key players from their 2025 ICC Champions Trophy campaign. Senior spinner Ish Sodhi and pacer Ben Sears make their return after missing the tournament due to injury. Kyle Jamieson and Will O’Rourke will play the first three T20Is, while Matt Henry will join for the final two matches.

The last T20I series between the two teams in April 2024 ended in a 2-2 draw, with the first match in Rawalpindi being washed out.
