PCB Grants ‘Limited’ NOCs to Pakistani Players for BBL 13

PCB Grants 'Limited' NOCs to Pakistani Players for BBL 13

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued no-objection certificates (NOCs) to Pakistani cricketers Haris Rauf, Usama Mir, and Zaman Khan for their participation in Australia’s Big Bash League (BBL-13).

However, the NOCs come with specific conditions, allowing the players to feature in a limited number of matches rather than the entire tournament. This decision takes into consideration the workload of the players and the national team’s future tours program.

Haris Rauf, a key figure in Pakistan’s pace attack, has been granted permission to play in five matches for the Melbourne Stars. Similarly, Usama Mir (Melbourne Stars) and Zaman Khan (Sydney Thunder) have received NOCs for five and four matches, respectively. The allocation of NOCs within a specific timeframe aims to balance the players’ participation in the BBL with their national commitments.

The decision is deemed to be in the best interests of all stakeholders, considering the importance of game time for players and the need for workload management. The NOCs cover the period between December 7, 2023, and January 24, 2024, when the BBL-13 is scheduled to take place. This development provides clarity for both the players and their respective BBL teams.
