The 13th edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is scheduled to take place from 5 October to 19 November. This highly anticipated cricket tournament will feature 10 teams competing for the prestigious title.

In terms of prize money, the winners of the tournament will receive a significant reward of US$4 million, along with the coveted trophy that they will lift at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 19 November. The runners-up in the tournament will not be left empty-handed either. The team that finishes as the runner-up will be awarded US$2 million, making it a substantial prize for their impressive performance throughout the tournament.

In addition to the top two positions, the losing semi-finalists will also receive a share of the prize money. Each of the two teams that make it to the semi-finals but do not proceed to the final will be awarded US$800,000, recognizing their journey to the latter stages of the competition.

The prize money allocation doesn’t stop there. In a move to reward teams for their performances in every match, the winners of each group stage match will receive US$40,000. This serves as an incentive for teams to perform at their best throughout the tournament.

Even teams that do not advance to the semi-finals will receive a financial boost. The six teams that are eliminated after the group stage will collectively receive a payment of US$600,000, further emphasizing the inclusive nature of the prize distribution.
