On the sixth day of the Paris 2024 Olympics, China added 2 more gold medals, reaching a total of 11 and retaining their lead in the medal standings. France and Japan are tied for second with 8 golds each, while Australia and the USA are fourth and fifth with 7 and 6 golds, respectively.
Bryan Daniel of Ecuador won gold in the menโs 20km walk, while Chinaโs Yang Jiayu took gold in the womenโs 20km walk. Chinaโs Liu Yukun won the gold in the menโs 50m rifle three positions shooting event.

New Zealand clinched gold in the womenโs double sculls rowing final, with Romania winning gold in the menโs double sculls. The Netherlands secured gold in the womenโs four rowing final, and the USA took gold in the menโs four rowing event.
In judo, Azerbaijanโs Zelim earned his countryโs second gold by defeating Georgiaโs Elia Saliman Zadeh in the menโs 100kg final. Italyโs Giovanni De Gennaro won gold in the menโs kayak singles final of canoe slalom, while Italy also claimed gold in the womenโs 78kg judo category with Alice Belandi defeating Israelโs judoka.
The USA won its seventh gold in womenโs artistic gymnastics, with Simone Biles shining in the all-around event. Canadaโs Summer McIntosh won gold in the womenโs 200m butterfly, and Hungaryโs Hubert Kos won the menโs 200m backstroke.
