Rawalpindi Signs Jake Fraser-McGurk Ahead of PSL11

Islamabad, February 12, 2026 โ€“ The newly renamed Rawalpindi franchise of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has confirmed the direct signing of Australian opener Jake Fraser-McGurk for PSL11, scheduled to start on March 26.

The 23-year-old right-handed batter is known for his explosive hitting at the top of the order. He has represented Australia in eight T20Is and is widely recognized in the global franchise cricket circuit for his power-hitting abilities.

Fraser-McGurk was initially unpicked in both the main and accelerated rounds of the historic PSL11 Player Auction held in Lahore on February 10. Despite his base price of Rs 4.2 million, no franchise secured him during the auction. Rawalpindi later signed him directly, though the team has not disclosed his fee.

The Rawalpindi franchise, formerly Multan Sultans, was acquired by Walee Technologies in a record PKR 2.45 billion deal, making it the most expensive team in PSL history. Following the purchase, the team was rebranded and retained several key players. Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan was retained in the Platinum category for PKR 5.6 crore, while Englandโ€™s Sam Billings was signed in the Diamond category for PKR 3.08 crore. Pacer Zaman Khan was included in the Gold category, and young batter Yasir Khan was retained in the Silver category.

Other players in Rawalpindiโ€™s squad for PSL11 include Mohammad Rizwan, Sam Billings, Zaman Khan, Yasir Khan, Naseem Shah, Rishad Hossain, Daryl Mitchell, Mohammad Amir, Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Dian Forrestor, Laurie Evans, Asif Afridi, Kamran Ghulam, Fawad Ali, Mohammad Amir Khan, Shahzaib Khan, and Jake Fraser-McGurk.
