Saim Ayub Shows Improvement After Ankle Injury

Pakistan batter Saim Ayub, who sustained an ankle injury during the second Test against South Africa, is showing significant progress. Dr. David Redfern in London confirmed that Ayub’s ankle is healing well, allowing him to bear weight on the leg. Ayub, along with assistant coach Azhar Mahmood, visited a clinic for a second assessment, and the reports will be sent to the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) medical panel for further evaluation.

While there is no confirmation yet on whether surgery will be required, Dr. Jeyaseelan recommended six months of complete rest. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi assured full support for Ayub’s recovery.
