Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli recently shared valuable advice with a young aspiring cricketer, Kabir, at New Delhiโ€™s Arun Jaitley Stadium. The interaction, which took place ahead of his Ranji Trophy return, has gone viral on social media.

Kabir, the son of Kohliโ€™s former teammate Shavez Khan, asked what it takes to become an Indian cricketer. Kohli stressed the importance of self-motivation and discipline, advising the youngster to practice harder than others. “If someone practices for an hour, you do it for two,” he suggested.

The cricket star encouraged Kabir to set higher benchmarks, saying, “If someone scores a 50, you score a 100.” His words resonated with fans, drawing praise for his dedication to the game.

Kohli is set to play in the Ranji Trophy for the first time since 2012, representing Delhi against Railways on January 30, 2025. His return aligns with BCCIโ€™s push to involve senior players in domestic cricket to mentor young talent.
