DUBAI: The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced the schedule for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026. Pakistan and India will meet in a highly anticipated group-stage match on September 5.
The tournament will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It will run from August 28 to September 13, with 15 matches scheduled.
Eight teams will participate in the competition. They have been divided into two groups, with four teams in each group.
Defending champions India are placed in Group A alongside Pakistan. Thailand and Hong Kong, China are also part of the group.
Group B includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates. The teams will compete for places in the knockout stage.
The opening match will be played between Thailand and Hong Kong, China on August 28. Pakistan will begin its campaign against Thailand on September 1.
The biggest group-stage fixture will take place on September 5. Pakistan will face India in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup at the Dubai venue.
Pakistan will then play its final group match against Hong Kong, China. That match is scheduled for September 7.
The group-stage matches will determine the four teams advancing to the semi-finals. The first semi-final is scheduled for September 10.
The second semi-final will take place on September 11. The tournament final is scheduled for September 13.
The Women’s T20 Asia Cup will feature a total of 15 matches. The competition is expected to provide a strong platform for women cricketers across Asia.
The Pakistan-India fixture is likely to attract significant attention from cricket fans. Both teams have a long-standing rivalry across international cricket.
