Toyota has revealed the 2026 RAV4, introducing a bolder design and a fully hybrid powertrain lineup. The sixth-generation model of this best-selling SUV blends familiar styling with modern updates, giving it a sharper and more confident presence on the road.
The new RAV4 retains its recognizable shape but now looks more dynamic. Up front, it features Toyotaβs boomerang-style headlights and a smoother, color-matched grille on the XSE and Limited trims. These elements contribute to the SUVβs bolder design, setting it apart with a sleek, futuristic edge. The GR Sport variant adds a sportier look with a larger performance-inspired grille, while the Woodland trim gets tougher styling and extra lighting for off-road appeal.
At the rear, Toyota continues the confident theme with LED taillights that extend onto the tailgate. Large βRAV4β lettering gives the SUV a strong identity. Sportier versions come with roof spoilers, with the GR Sport getting the most striking one for added flair.
Under the hood, every 2026 RAV4 is now electrified. Even the base trims, LE and XLE, come standard with hybrid systems combining a 2.5-litre engine and Toyotaβs fifth-generation hybrid setup. Power output ranges from 226 to 236 horsepower depending on drivetrain choice. For drivers wanting more performance, the plug-in hybrid delivers up to 320 horsepower and up to 52 miles of electric-only range.
Inside, the RAV4βs interior matches its bolder design with upgraded materials and improved technology. Variants feature unique touches like suede-style upholstery in the XSE, rugged bronze accents in the Woodland, and soft SofTex leather in the Limited trim. A 12.3-inch digital cluster is now standard, and the infotainment system includes a larger touchscreen ranging from 10.5 to 12.9 inches.
The 2026 RAV4 continues Toyotaβs tradition of reliability while introducing modern efficiency and style. With its bolder design, advanced hybrid technology, and refined interior, the new model reaffirms the RAV4βs position as one of the most trusted SUVs in the world.
