WhatsApp Business is enhancing its features with the latest beta update for Android, version 2.24.26.16, available via the Google Play Beta Programme. This update introduces several new tools designed to improve user experience and business efficiency:
- Updated Theme Colours: The update brings a refreshed design with updated light and dark theme colours. The light theme now features black accents, while the dark theme uses white accents, aligning the Android app’s design with the recent iOS updates. This change also helps differentiate WhatsApp Messenger from WhatsApp Business.
- AI-Powered Replies: One of the standout features is the integration of AI-powered replies. Businesses can now use AI to automatically respond to customer messages, especially during off-hours. The AI can handle common queries, guide users through the purchasing process, and even manage more complex inquiries. This system uses machine learning models customized to the business’s needs, ensuring accurate responses. Customers will be notified when interacting with the AI, maintaining transparency and trust.
- Business Platform Connection: Another major update allows businesses to link their accounts directly to the WhatsApp Business app using a QR code. This eliminates limitations for users managing accounts on the WhatsApp Business Platform and provides seamless access to previously unavailable features. Businesses can now share up to six months of one-on-one chat history with the app (though group chat histories are excluded).
