Alef Aeronautics Unveils First Flying Car Test Footage

Alef Aeronautics has taken a major leap in transportation by revealing the first footage of its flying car in action. The electric prototype was seen driving on a California road before taking off vertically, marking a breakthrough in urban mobility.

The vehicle features distributed electric propulsion and a mesh-covered propeller system to enable flight. Alef CEO Jim Dukhovny compared the moment to the Wright Brothersโ€™ first flight, emphasizing its impact on future travel.

The prototype showcased is an ultralight version of the upcoming Model A, a two-seater flying car with a 110-mile flight range and a 200-mile driving range. Equipped with autopilot and eight independent rotors, it aims to revolutionize city commuting.

Alefโ€™s Model A will retail for $300,000, with pre-orders already surpassing 3,300. Despite its flying capabilities, the carโ€™s current driving speed is limited to 25 mph, making it ideal for urban settings.
