Alef Aeronautics Unveils First Flying Car Test Footage

Alef Aeronautics has taken a major leap in transportation by revealing the first footage of its flying car in action. The electric prototype was seen driving on a California road before taking off vertically, marking a breakthrough in urban mobility.

The vehicle features distributed electric propulsion and a mesh-covered propeller system to enable flight. Alef CEO Jim Dukhovny compared the moment to the Wright Brothers’ first flight, emphasizing its impact on future travel.

The prototype showcased is an ultralight version of the upcoming Model A, a two-seater flying car with a 110-mile flight range and a 200-mile driving range. Equipped with autopilot and eight independent rotors, it aims to revolutionize city commuting.

Alef’s Model A will retail for $300,000, with pre-orders already surpassing 3,300. Despite its flying capabilities, the car’s current driving speed is limited to 25 mph, making it ideal for urban settings.
