WhatsApp, under Meta, has introduced four text formatting options to enhance communication on the platform. The options include bulleted lists, numbered lists, block quotes, and inline code. Mark Zuckerberg announced the update, highlighting its role in saving time and improving communication dynamics, especially in group chats.

Users can create bulleted lists using hyphens, numbered lists with numerals and periods, block quotes with the Greater Than arrow key, and inline code with the accent symbol. The new formatting options complement existing features like bold, italic, strikethrough, and monospace. The update is available on Android, iOS, Mac, and web browser platforms.
