The IT community is urging the government to allocate substantial funding for the development of IT parks nationwide, citing the sector’s potential to boost the economy through exports.
Appearing on Samaa TV, tech expert and entrepreneur Faizan Aslam criticized the lack of infrastructure. “Pakistan is the fifth most populous country, yet Vietnam is far ahead of us in terms of IT park development,” he stated.

He stressed the need for a tax-friendly and supportive environment to help local IT firms thrive. “If given proper support, our IT exports can significantly strengthen the economy,” Aslam added.
He called on the government to prioritise the tech industry in the upcoming budget by offering incentives, lowering taxes, and encouraging investment.
