Fortnite Update 34.20 Rolls Out With New Content and Mortal Kombat Tease

Fortnite players experienced a brief disruption on Tuesday as Epic Games took servers offline for update 34.20, a key installment in Chapter 6 Season 2. The downtime, which started at 1am PDT (8am GMT), lasted approximately one hour and 38 minutes, with matchmaking restored by 2.38am PDT (9.38am GMT), according to Fortnite’s official status account.

The latest patch introduces a variety of fresh content, setting the stage for Fortnite OG Season 3. Additionally, new quests, weapons, and gameplay mechanics have been uncovered in the update files.

Recent updates have already brought significant changes, including the introduction of Outlaw Keycards, Party Up Spring Raid quests, and new weapon combinations like the Pump and Dump shotgun and SMG duo. Update 34.20 is expected to maintain this momentum, possibly expanding on the Outlaw arc storyline.

The patch officially went live globally on March 25 following a pre-downtime matchmaking pause. Players can now jump back in to experience the latest additions and prepare for what’s next in Fortnite’s ever-evolving universe.
