Google has introduced CC, a new AI-powered email assistant, through a Google Labs experiment. The tool is designed to help users manage their day efficiently by providing a daily brief via email.
Powered by Googleโs Gemini AI, CC integrates with Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar. It sends users a โYour Day Aheadโ email summarizing tasks, calendar events, and important information from connected apps. This helps users stay organized and prioritize daily activities without manually checking multiple apps.
Users can interact with CC directly via email. They can send requests to add to-do items, save notes, customize their preferences, or search for specific information. The assistant aims to reduce time spent on administrative tasks and make productivity tools more accessible.
Currently, CC is available to AI Premium users, including Pro and Ultra subscribers, in the U.S. and Canada. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Google has clarified that CC is accessible only through personal Google accounts and is not yet available for Workspace accounts.
Googleโs CC joins a growing list of AI-driven email and meeting assistants. Competitors include Mindy, initially launched as an email assistant, and Read AI and Fireflies, which provide daily meeting notes. However, unlike many rivals, CC draws context from emails, Drive, and calendar data to create a more comprehensive briefing.
Additionally, apps like Huxe convert similar information into audio formats, generating a daily podcast summary for users. Google hopes CC will simplify daily workflows and encourage more frequent usage of its productivity suite.
With the launch of CC, Google continues to explore innovative AI solutions for personal productivity, making it easier for users to stay on top of tasks and manage their schedules efficiently.
