Google Photos Coming To Samsung TVs With Special Features in 2026

Samsung has announced that the Google Photos app will be available on its TVs starting in 2026. This will allow users to view their photos and videos directly on a large screen without extra steps.

Previously, Google Photos users had to cast content from their phones or sideload the app to their Android TVs. With this update, Samsung TV owners will get a dedicated app for a smoother experience.

The initial version will feature curated photos and videos using the Memories function. This feature will be exclusive to Samsung TVs for the first six months. Users only need to sign in with their Google accounts to access their content.

Samsung also plans to include AI-powered enhancements in the Google Photos app. These features will use Nano Banana technology, Googleโ€™s image generation model. A new Remix feature will let users transform existing photos into different artistic styles.

Shimrit Ben-Yair, Vice President of Google Photos and Google One, commented on the update. He said, โ€œGoogle Photos is a home for peopleโ€™s photos and videos, helping them organize and bring their memories to life.โ€ He added that the integration with Samsung TVs will help users enjoy their favorite memories on a larger screen.

This collaboration highlights Samsungโ€™s effort to improve smart TV functionality and provide better access to popular apps.
It also shows Googleโ€™s commitment to expanding Google Photos beyond smartphones and tablets.

The new Google Photos app for Samsung TVs is expected to be rolled out globally in 2026. Fans of the service can look forward to a more interactive and visually engaging experience at home.

With AI-driven tools and easy account integration, Google Photos on Samsung TVs promises to be convenient and fun.
Users can relive memories, create artistic photos, and enjoy content without needing additional devices.

This development marks an important step in bridging mobile and TV experiences for Google Photos users worldwide.
