The latest iOS 17.3 update introduces several exciting features, with a notable security tool designed to thwart thieves from stealing devices and accessing sensitive information on iCloud, such as bank details and emails. In this update, users are required to unlock specific functions using either fingerprint or Face ID, enhancing security beyond just the Lock Screen passcode.
To further bolster security, Apple has implemented a waiting period for certain sensitive actions, necessitating “Face ID or Touch ID, an hour wait, and then an additional successful biometric authentication.” This added layer of protection is activated when the device is detected in unfamiliar locations.
