The upcoming iPhone 16 series is rumored to feature several design changes, with leaked metal dummies providing insights into the anticipated modifications. These dummy models, typically used by accessory makers as design references, offer a glimpse into the sizes and dimensions of the iPhone 16 lineup.
According to the leaks, the iPhone 16 and 16 Pro are expected to have similar dimensions, while the iPhone 16 Plus will fall in between, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be the largest variant. This aligns with previous reports suggesting size boosts for the Pro models, with screen sizes rumored to increase to 6.27” for the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.85” for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, compared to their predecessors.

Despite the larger screens, reduced bezels are expected to minimize overall size increases. The standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus are likely to maintain their current display sizes of 6.1″ and 6.7″, respectively.
Additionally, the iPhone 16 lineup is rumored to feature new button placements, with the Action Button from the Pro models shifting to the left side on all iPhones, and a new Capture Button for the camera positioned on the right side. The Capture Button is speculated to have a mechanical design with a capacitive surface, enabling swiping gestures for zooming. Interestingly, this button is expected to occupy the location of the mmWave antenna on current US models.
Furthermore, the rumored Rose color options for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are expected to utilize the same color-infusing technology seen on the iPhone 15 series.
Overall, these design changes suggest an evolution in the iPhone lineup, offering users new features and enhancements in both aesthetics and functionality.
