LAHORE – Apple’s newly launched iPhone 17 series has created a buzz among tech fans in Pakistan. Local mobile retailers suggest the latest models could arrive as early as next week.
The iPhone 17 was officially unveiled on September 9. According to mobile shop owners in Lahore, the first limited stock may reach Pakistan by September 19 or 20. These initial shipments are expected to be non-PTA approved, while PTA-approved models will likely take a few more weeks.
Cell Links, a well-known Lahore-based mobile store with an active social media presence, has confirmed its readiness to offer the iPhone 17 series once units arrive. Other retailers also stated that their first small batches are already on the way.
Among the lineup, the iPhone 17 Air is attracting the most attention. Market watchers describe it as the slimmest iPhone ever made. Many Pakistani buyers are eagerly waiting for its release despite uncertain pricing.
Retailers estimate the iPhone 17 Air could cost between Rs400,000 and Rs450,000 in the local market. If PTA approved, prices may rise above Rs500,000, similar to last year’s iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, final rates will only be clear once distributors announce official prices.
Due to the lack of Apple stores in Pakistan, iPhones are usually imported by private sellers or distributors like Mercantile. Non-PTA approved units are often sold first and priced higher because of early availability.
Retailers warn that the initial iPhone 17 stock will be limited and expensive. This trend has been consistent with previous iPhone launches in Pakistan.
With no official Apple outlets, buyers often rely on local shops importing from the US, UK, or Dubai, or ask relatives abroad to bring the devices. Early adopters in Pakistan should therefore expect higher prices and limited availability during the first few weeks.
