ISLAMABAD: Land records and property services in Islamabad have been fully digitized through the unified Pak App.

The new system replaces traditional paper-based procedures with digital services. Officials said the initiative aims to improve transparency, efficiency, and security.

The National Information Technology Board (NITB) and Islamabad Capital Territory Administration (ICTA) launched the system. It covers land records and property-related services across the federal capital.

The digital platform includes several security features for property transactions. These include NADRA CNIC verification, biometric authentication, and one-time password (OTP) protection.

Officials said these measures will help protect property records from fraud. They will also reduce risks linked to impersonation and unauthorized transactions.

Citizens can now request their official Fard through the digital system. A Fard is an official document showing land ownership details.

Applicants can access the service through their smartphones. They can also visit local Citizen Facilitation Desks for assistance.

The services are available around the clock. This removes the need for citizens to depend solely on traditional office procedures.

Property sales and transfers will also be handled through the digital platform. Inheritance-related property allocations will be processed through the same system.

Relevant departments will share property information electronically. This is expected to reduce paperwork and improve coordination between government offices.

Applicants will also be able to track their applications in real time. They can monitor the process from submission until completion.

The system is designed to verify the identity and consent of property owners. Transactions will require verification before they can be completed.

NADRA-based verification is expected to provide additional protection for Islamabad Property records. Officials said it can help prevent unauthorized changes and third-party manipulation.

The digital process is also intended to improve accountability. It may reduce opportunities for cash-based corruption during property-related procedures.

The initiative forms part of broader e-governance efforts in the capital. Government departments are increasingly shifting public services toward digital platforms.

The Pak ID Mobile App is also being upgraded. The updated system will support registration of civil events from home.

These services include registration of births and marriages. Citizens will be able to complete these processes without visiting government offices.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and ICT Administration have also introduced electronic stamp papers. These have been integrated with OneLink for digital payments.

The integration will support electronic payments for property transfers. It is expected to make transactions faster and reduce reliance on cash payments.

The measures are aimed at developing a more transparent property services system. They also support the government’s broader move toward digital public services.

For residents, the digitization of Islamabad Property services could simplify several land-related procedures. Citizens can use digital channels to submit applications and track their progress.

The new system also provides additional security for land ownership records. Its verification features are designed to ensure that transactions are linked to genuine property owners.

Officials expect the digital system to improve service delivery across Islamabad. It will gradually replace several manual processes with electronic procedures.
