Meta is rolling out new updates to increase the visibility of affiliate links for creators on Facebook. The social media giant is making affiliate links more prominent across Reels, videos, photos, and text posts, aiming to support creators in monetizing their content.
Affiliate links will now be more visible, especially in Reels, where they will appear in the bottom section of the user interface. Additionally, a new format for affiliate links in text posts and improved display in comment sections will provide even more exposure for creators. Previously, affiliate links were limited to appearing as basic URLs in captions, but this update introduces a more engaging presentation.

Meta is also introducing an auto-detection system for affiliate links from selected domains. This system will prompt creators to add the “paid partnership” label when an affiliate link is detected and automatically pre-populate affiliate link details when creators select the “add affiliate product link” option.
These updates are designed to make it easier for creators to participate in affiliate programs and boost their monetization efforts, with improved link visibility likely to attract more user attention and increase sales. The new features are being rolled out globally to all Pages and Professional Profiles, giving creators the opportunity to maximize their affiliate sales before the holiday season.
To add affiliate links, creators can simply tap “earn money” and select “add product links” during the publishing process for Reels, videos, or photos. Text posts can also include affiliate links through the Post Settings.
