Zuckerberg labeled 2025 as “a defining year for AI,” revealing plans for a Manhattan-sized data center with over 1.3 million GPU chips and 1 gigawatt of computing power. This expansion will power Meta’s AI advancements, including its Llama 4 language model, expected to serve over 1 billion users by year-end.
Following the announcement, Meta’s stock hit a record $647.49, continuing a 65% surge over the past year. The company’s aggressive strategy comes as competitors like Microsoft and Amazon also commit over $75 billion each to AI infrastructure in 2025, intensifying the industry-wide race.
