A major milestone will be the 5G spectrum auction, scheduled for April 2025. The auction marks a crucial step in Pakistan’s technological evolution and its vision of widespread digital connectivity.
Additionally, the government plans to raise Fixed Broadband (FBB) penetration from less than 2% to 20% within five years. Expanding the Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) network is a priority to bridge the digital divide and establish a strong foundation for 5G services.
These efforts reflect Pakistan’s commitment to advancing its digital economy and providing enhanced connectivity to its citizens.
