Red Dead Redemption arrives on Netflix’s gaming catalog as of Tuesday, marking its first official release on iOS and Android devices. The popular Wild West game is now accessible exclusively to Netflix subscribers, featuring mobile-friendly controls like touch-screen shooting and navigation. However, the game supports only the single-player campaign, with no multiplayer mode available.
Originally launched by Rockstar Games in 2010, Red Dead Redemption arrives on mobile with its standalone expansion, Undead Nightmare, where John Marston faces a zombie outbreak. The game follows Marston, a former outlaw in 1911, on a mission to reunite with his family. Fans of the franchise can now experience the story on smartphones and tablets for the first time.
Netflix’s gaming strategy has been steadily evolving. After struggling with low engagement rates initially, the company saw a 180% year-over-year increase in game downloads in 2024. Adding blockbuster titles like Red Dead Redemption arrives signals Netflix’s commitment to building a stronger mobile gaming library.

This mobile release comes two years after Netflix added Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy to its gaming catalog. Subscribers should note that GTA: San Andreas will be removed from Netflix Games on December 12, the final day the title will be available.
