Samsung has officially announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on July 9, 2025, in New York. The event, set to stream live globally at 3pm BST, is expected to spotlight the company’s next wave of foldable smartphones and wearable tech.
The teaser ends with the phrase “Ultra Unfolds,” hinting at major upgrades and possibly new naming conventions. The much-anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are likely to headline the event, with rumors suggesting one of the models may carry an “Ultra” tag, indicating a new premium tier within Samsung’s foldable lineup.

Speculation is also swirling around a potential tri-fold device, though Samsung has yet to confirm such a product. Promotional material features an animation of a single line transforming into two distinct foldables — reinforcing expectations of a redesigned Flip and a sleeker Fold.
Leaked details suggest the Fold 7 may feature a thinner build, an expansive 8-inch display, and a 200MP main camera, potentially rivaling the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Both foldables are expected to run on One UI 8 with enhanced Galaxy AI features, thanks to continued collaboration with Google.
